Design parameters and limit values with in EULANDA® ERP

Data base system

max. size of long text fields : 2 GB
max. size of one picture: 2 GB
max. size of one database: 32 TB
max. count of row locks: 2.147.483.647
max. count of rows: Only limited thru total size of database
max. count of CPUs: min 1 / standard 2 CPU's; Multi CPU systems: not all operating system support more than 2 CPU's and only the larger versions of Microsoft's® SQL Server do support that. (e.g. Microsoft® SQL Server 2000 Standard, Enterprise, Developer versions) . The desktop and Peer2Peer version do support only one CPU.

With the provided Microsoft® SQL Server MSDE the max. size of the database is limited to 2 Gigabytes. Larger databases require an EULANDA® ERP Client/Server or Enterprise Version together with a standard version of the Microsoft® SQL Server 2000.

To reach the limitations of the program sufficiently dimensioned free hard disk space is required and the license's of the operating system and /  or the Microsoft® SQL Server has to support these limits.

 

PDF-Support

The integrated PDF support does not allow the use of special elements, like RichText, Italian fonts and the like. In case you need to use such elements you have to install the Adobe® Acrobat full version, thus requiring the respective amount of licenses. To integrate the ADOBE® Acrobat full version you would have to configure the system accordingly (System settings).

 

User rights, User-roles and SQL-Server-Administration

EULANDA® ERP supports the user administration of Microsoft's® SQL Server 2000. Add, change and delete of user and user-roles are only supported with the EULANDA® ERP Client/Server or Enterprise Version in conjunction with the Microsoft® SQL Server 2000 Standard or better, since Microsoft's® SQL Enterprise Manager is needed. The Enterprise-Manager is needed for the administration of the Microsoft® SQL Server 2000 Standard Edition.

Basic administration like backup, restore, create databases (create client), protocol setup etc are accessed directly from the EULANDA® ERP main menu and therefore do not required the Enterprise Manager.

Extended administration like scheduled backup services, DTS jobs and other require the Enterprise Manager in conjunction with the EULANDA® ERP Client/Server or Enterprise version.

In theory all administration may be done using T-SQL or even O-SQL. Both is not recommended and not supported. T-SQL can be used via the SQL-Designer. We strongly recommend the use of Microsoft's® Enterprise Manager for all extended administrational work. Microsoft® SQL Server 2000 Standard  and EULANDA®-Client/Server version are required.

 

Localization of the operating system

EULANDA® ERP supports only operating system for which a localized EULANDA® ERP version is available, hence EULANDA® ERP Spanish supports the respective localized Windows® version, EULANDA® ERP Italian the Italian version of windows and so forth. The English version of Windows® is supported with all EULANDA® ERP versions. Therefore the use of the Windows®-MUI Language pack (MUI = Multi User Interface) is supported.

 

SQL-Server

When multi instances of the SQL Server are used, only the first instance is supported.
