EULANDA® ERP System Head Start thru Technology
The installation guideline provides you with the necessary information to setup the printer and it's control sequences to access the paper cutter and to open the cash drawer.
We strongly recommend the use of the EPSON Ticket Printer TM 88 III(R) on the parallel port of the workstation.

These printers are available with a variety of ports installed, such as COM, USB or LAN. These interfaces have not been testet with the EULANDA® ERP.
The standard report templates, located in the P.O.S. area, have been tailor made to use with this printer. This for one means, it has been assigned as standard printer (Page Setup / Printer) and on the other hand, all fonts used are those build into the printer. These typefaces are very fast printing but difficult to handle in the layout, because the screen fonts use different tracking than the ones from the printer. In order to show these fonts correctly you need the corresponding printer driver.
To successfully install the print with Windows®, the correct printer driver is needed. It includes the special typefaces which are build into the printer. You may use the printer with the regular windows fonts, e.g. Arial, but the print-out will be extremely slow - which in the P.O.S. environment is not helpful at all.
The printer driver is usually not included, when buying the printer, which is why we provide a link to a special EPSON website at the bottom of this section.
When installing this driver it does report in the windows settings as „EPSON TM-T88II(R) Receipt“ To control the driver's version right click on the printer and select "Info" from the property's menu. EULANDA® ERP has been tested with the before mentioned printer and the driver version 2.02.
The EPSON printer driver provides fonts named "FontA22" or "FontA11" etc. These typefaces may be used in the report designer, if the printer has been selected as standard printer (see „Page Setup“ for further details).
These internal fonts are not WYSIWYG as accustomed under Windows®. We recommend to use the corresponding font size e.g. FontA22 should be set to a font size of 22 pt etc. This will come as close as possible to the truth, when screen printing a P.O.S. report, such as a ticket.
Keep in mind when lay outing the report that a difference of 1,000st mm from the baseline, may cause a line break and consequently a new line at print time. We recommend you align all elements using the corresponding tools from the toolbar. Click on the element you want others to align with, hold the SHIFT key pressed and select the next element etc. When all elements are selected, release the SHIFT key and click on the respective tool -left, right, bottom or top alignment. All elements will be aligned according to the first one chosen.
If you do not want to hassle with these limitations and extra work, you can use normal Windows® fonts, but bear in mind, that the printing will be very slow - something in the range of 1:10 when using the optimized printer fonts.
The printer driver offers a special typeface named "Control“. This font allows access to several special functions of the printer. The font size has to set to "10 pt".
Place any text elements and enter the desired letter and font.
Important! This special font is case sensitive.
The capitol letter "P" (Font: Control, 10pt) activates the paper cutter.
In the Report-Designer place a text (label) at the end of the report and enter a capitol "P" in the toolbar.

Entry for the paper cutter
The Epson TM 88 III can operate 2 different cash drawer at the same time. According to which port is used, a different letter from the font Control, size 10pt has to be used in order to open the drawer.
To open slower drawers the pulse duration can be altered when using the corresponding letter from the table below.
| Letter | Function |
| A | Port 1 with 50 ms pulse duration |
| B | Port 1 with 100 ms pulse duration |
| C | Port 1 with 150 ms pulse duration |
| D | Port 1 with 200 ms pulse duration |
| E | Port 1 with 250ms pulse duration |
| a | Port 2 with 50 ms pulse duration |
| b | Port 2 with 100 ms pulse duration |
| c | Port 2 with 150 ms pulse duration |
| d | Port 2 with 200 ms pulse duration |
| e | Port 2 with 250ms pulse duration |
The cash drawer is connected to the printer with a "Western" plug. The table below shows the pin assignment for both ports. No responsibility is taken for the correctness of this information !
| Pin | Function |
| 1 | GND |
| 2 | Port 1 |
| 3 | Input signal drawer open/close |
| 4 | +24V |
| 5 | Port 2 |
| 6 | GND |

Entry of the control sequence to open the cash drawer
We recommend to open the drawer when the print starts and therefore place the sign close to the group header band.
In case you need to open the drawer under DOS, you can not use any Font but ESC-sequences. To open use "ESC p m t1 t2“. You have to enter the code sequence in decimal values therefore ESC is represented with the number 27, the small "p" = 112. The letter "m" controls the port (1 or 2). The value representing the port is either 0 or 1. The pulse ON delay is represented with t1 and pulse OFF delay = t2. These values can range between 0 - 255.
Example for a pulse length of 100ms on port 1 in decimal values:
27 112 0 100 100
same for port 2
27 112 1 100 100
